NYC City Guide
Where to eat:
Jack’s Wife Freda is the absolute go-to for us. We go almost every morning before we hit all the showrooms. The owners are so lovely and remember us each time we come in. You feel like you just stepped into the most perfect Parisian cafe. Our steadfast is the Mediterranean breakfast. It’s the perfect way to start a busy day.
Back forty west tables traditional American fare. They serve fresh loaf bread at each table and the butter that compliments it is to die for. They have a fantastic drink menu and the atmosphere is small and intimate.
Where to stay:
We love to stay downtown in the Soho/Tribecca area. We primarily choose to stay here because it is close to several amazing showrooms that we visit while in the city and it feels so much like a neighborhood.
Where to shop:
If you are staying up town then you have to check out Otte. They have four locations in Manhattan. They carry some similar designers to THREAD and also some that are more high end.
If you are staying in Soho make sure to hit Elizabeth Street and go to Warm Nolita. It is an incredible shop and there are lots of artesian made items from around the world.
